Chico, CA — Yesterday, U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) spoke with Chico State University students and toured the Paul L. Byrne Memorial University Farm, a farm for students to put to practice concepts they learn in the classroom. On the tour, Schiff learned about the benefits of the farm for students and farmers and toured the facilities paving the way for agricultural advancements. Schiff is the first California Senator to serve on the United States Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry in over 30 years.
Schiff then answered questions from political science students, highlighting his career and encouraging students to follow their passions and to stay optimistic during this period of polarization. He also discussed the role of media and new media in today’s politics.
